     Handwriting is the style of writing which varies with persons. In simple words, it is the style of writing used by one and it is unique with persons. In a way it can have a parallel standard with the iris of humans as they vary from person to person. The major characteristics of handwriting can be, 

  • Shape and formation of letters
  • The spacing between letters and words
  • Slant or slope of letters
  • Pressure applied on the paper while writing
  • The average size of the letters
  • Thickness of letters

These characteristics define good and bad handwriting too. Good handwriting can be the ones which are properly formed, spaced, in perfect size and thickness of letters, readable without much effort. On the other hand, the bad handwriting needs a lot of effort to be understood and they will be disordered in look.

     As learners it is important to own a fair handwriting as it can influence your educational performance. Good handwriting may not always bring you more marks but bad handwriting makes chances to deduce your scores. Here are some notes pointing to the importance of good handwriting. Good writing brings better understanding and it beautifies the whole written material. Thus they become pleasing for our eyes and brain, making us have an interest towards them. Here comes the importance of the teacher's handwriting. Children of young age imitate the handwriting of their teachers and they get into things through the pleasing handwriting they see. Therefore, we can say that a beautiful handwriting can make the students interested in studies which indirectly develop their brain.

This plays the role at the time of final exams where the teacher will be loaded with many answer sheets. It is difficult to go through every single word and they judge the paper on the handwriting. When the teacher gets impressed through the writing style they help you have good marks to a certain level.

A person with good handwriting will eventually develop an interest in writing. The person starts to admire his writing and this can bring the one to spend time in bringing good writings. It has been scientifically proven that the people with good handwriting have a better personality. They can accurately judge people. They have a positive approach towards life. They also have a bigger ambition. They will be cleanly in their being and will be ordered in each phase of life.

There are companies which arrange written tests as part of the personal interviews to judge the candidates. They look into their writing through handwriting analysts who judge the person from their handwriting. They pronounce the qualities by looking at their handwriting and how they form their words or the neatness in their text. In this case, the person with a good handwriting is definitely at an advantage.

     Children may not have the same handwriting, they differ and we can improve their writing through activities. Make them write slowly, help them to identify the weak areas, make them write in ruled papers, ask them to watch calligraphy videos, make activities like writing letters. Shaping a good handwriting from a child is a step in building his personality.
